Sketches 4 All "Jingle Bells" Blog Hop!!

Hi there!

Welcome to the Sketches 4 All
"Jingle Bells" Blog Hop

So glad you could join us on the first day of our Blog Hop!  You will have NINE days to hop around and to complete some or ALL of the challenges that will be offered by each Design Team Member.

We hope to inspire you this Holiday season!

You should have arrived here from Cheryl's Blog.  If not, please see the blog lineup below.

The Hop starts today, December 3rd and ends on December 9th (at midnight).  Winners will be announced on December 13th in the Winner's Circle at Sketches 4 All.

There will be a Grand Prize offered to one random winner.  A beautiful November Kit from Frosted Designs!  Just look at all the yummy goodies!

And that's not all!
There will also be a second place prize to one random winner of a $20 gift certificate to the Cutting Cafe!

There's more!
Each Design Team Member will offer a challenge at Sketches 4 All and some will be offering an individual prize too!  So, the more you play, the more chances you have to win!

******************************************************
So, you may be wondering HOW do you participate?

1.  Hop around to all of the blogs of the Design Team Members.  Follow them AND leave a comment.
Right away, that will get your name in the hat to win the second place prize!!

2.  Join the Design Team's "Jingle Bells" Blog Hop challenges at Sketches 4 All.
These challenges will be posted in the Forum under Special Events (HERE).
This will get your name thrown in the hat to win the individual prizes.

3.  And, to WIN the Grand Prize, you will need to complete the Hop AND find our mystery sentence.
Each Design Team Member will have a word hidden on their blog.  When you collect all EIGHT words, you will have the mystery sentence.  After you find it, you will then send a Personal Message (PM) with your sentence to Fia at Sketches 4 All.

That's it!  Just complete the Blog Hop AND find the mystery sentence and your name will be in the hat to win that awesome kit from Frosted Designs!

And now for an inspirational card that I made especially for you!  I'm hoping it gets you in the Holiday SPIRIT
This is a square Christmas card with it's dimensions, I believe to be 5.5x5.5.

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok, White Cardstock
Ornament tag
Snowflake
Distressing
Clear Sentiment Sticker
Ribbon
Glitter Gems: Home Made
Twine: American Crafts
Candy Cane
Sketch: Splitcoast Stampers (SC97)

Here's a closer look.  Lots of layers here and the green cardstock was distressed.  Twine was added at the top of the ornament and on the green bow with a tiny candy cane tucked in the ribbon.  Glitter gems were added beside the ornament and in the lower right.

Finally... Are you ready for my CHALLENGE?

Simply create a layout from the sketch below.

Criteria:  It must be a Christmas Theme AND you must Add Bling

We all have some sort of Christmas photos to scrap... whether it's from years past or from last year.  Once you find your photo... follow the sketch and add some bling.

This is the example I created titled, "Holly Jolly."
Can you guess who "Santa" is?  Yup, it's me!  And my dear friend is dressed up as Mrs. Claus!  What a fun time we had at our office Christmas party!  There were so many laughs and Ho, ho, ho-ing as well as singing and lots of yummy foods to eat too!  And let's not forget the Yankee Swap... which is always so fun too!  So many wonderful memories from working at this office for 19 years!

I switched the sketch around a bit... adding the Santa and reindeer at the top of my page... as a sort of banner, rather than as the sketch shows below the photo.  But... you can still see all the basics of the sketch.  And that's all you need to do too!

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok
Fiskars Border Punch
Ribbon
Garland Ribbon
Bling: Home Made
Staples
String
Pop Dots
Reindeer Embellies
Vinyl Shapes
Glitter 3D Candy Embellie
Wooden Bear Embellie
Ink: Red
Markers
Santa Tag
Tags (behind the photo): Cut from pp

The ribbon was folded into a banner and a cluster of embellies is below that.

Here's a closer look.

The page title was cut from pp and I used a border punch at the top of it... and added some bling.

The journaling block was inked along the edges and tucked under the photo.

These two tags were cut from pp.  I simply stapled ribbon to each one.

Here's my cute little Santa (tag) in the sleigh that I cut from pp using a template.  The sleigh was adhered with pop dots for lots of dimension.  The string was wrapped around Santa's hand.  Swirly bling was added behind the bow on the sleigh.

Here are my cute reindeer!  There are 7 of them.  Each one was adhered with pop dots.  String goes to each reindeer and adhered in place.

This photo shows the dimension created with pop dots.

Rudolph has a beautiful red nose which I cut from a piece of red ribbon.

Another look at the dimension.

Now it's your turn to create something magical!

All entries must be uploaded to the Sketches 4 All Gallery and be sure to tag it: JBHLIBBY.
I will choose one random winner at the end of the Hop to receive some scrappy goodies!

*********************************************
Remember, you MUST:
1.  Become a follower of my Blog AND
2.  Leave me a comment at the end of this post, which will let me know you're hopping along AND
3.  Also add one of your favorite memories of Christmas.

And if you complete all THREE of the requirements above... I'll throw in an additional prize on my Blog for you too!  :)
It doesn't get much better than that!!

Oh... and my "secret" word is SPIRIT.
