Curious Boo

Hi there!

Finally a nice sunny day today!
A 7 mile walk complete!  Yay!

"Curious Boo"
My sister's cat checking out the bird bath and trying to drink from it.  She's such a curious cat!  :)

Paper: Paper Studio, Ribbon, Chipboard Tag, Leaves, Stickers, Thickers, Border Punch.
Sketch: Page Maps

The challenge is to "let the picture tell the story."

And to use the following on your layout:
- No visible journaling
- Kraft/tan background
- One photo only
- At least one tag
- Ribbon or twine
- Leaves - stamping or embellishment

Leaves and plastic twigs were tucked under the photo and tag.
Ribbon is above the photo and just below the punched border.

The tag is chipboard.  Ribbon was stapled through it with part of the sticker title on the tag.
The larger letters are thickers.

Border punched pp was tucked under the photo and a cute chipboard paw print added on the corner of the photo.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  :)

Enjoy Today

Hello!

Dreary, cool day today.  :(

But I do have a layout to share that was entered at Soul Scrappers for their Tic Tac Toe Challenge (TTT5).

Tic Tac Toe challenges are so fun!  You have choices!  Just choose your fave three in a row and create!

Here's my layout titled, "Enjoy Today."
My niece and I out shopping this past Christmas!  :)

Paper: Deja View Kit, Flair Button, Hexagon Punch, Rub Ons.
Sketch: Page Maps

This is the Tic Tac Toe board to use:

I chose the diagonal row: Flower, Blue, Arrows.

The arrows and flowers are rub ons... and blue is on the pp.

I purposely rubbed only portions of the arrows... I like this effect much better.
Another arrow is on the right of the photo too (see below).

The bird cage is also a rub on.  And the flair button was added on top and is my page title.

Love my hexagon punches!  Just saying...

The other arrow... on the right.  Hard to see, but it's there.
And I just noticed that the hexagon peeking out from above the photo could serve as a "tab" too!  Cool!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  :)

Happy Smiles

Hello there!

I have a layout to share with you from a challenge at Soul Scrappers.
It's a lift challenge (LIFT26) and this was such an awesome lift to work with!

Here's my layout titled, "Happy Smiles."
This is my daughter and I at one of my grandson's soccer game.

Paper: Paper Studio, K&Co., Flowers, Glitter Gems, Swirls Die, Chipboard Bricks: Blue Fern Studios, Foam Words, Heart Punch, Stickers, Tag, Mists, Smooch Colors.

Here's the beautiful lift:
I loved all the elements on this layout and chose to lift many of them.
(This layout was found on Pinterest but the owner of the layout hasn't been mentioned, in error.)

And now for some close ups of my layout.
Love this stenciled overlay I found in my stash!  I just layered cardstock behind it.

Two different fonts for the page title.  Who knew I would like this effect so much!  I may have to try this more often!  :)
Tiny punched hearts were scattered above and below the photo.

The chipboard brick was misted with several mists and before it dried I brushed it with a paper towel to smudge it around a bit.
Instead of adding three butterflies I added one 3D butterfly.

The foam words were actually one long strip but I cut them into three pieces.

Beside the photo a tag was tucked under it with another foam word.

Swirls were placed under all the flowers.

A closer look at the flowers and swirls.  The glitter gems are home made.

Another great find in my stash that I didn't think I would ever use.  I thought this old fashioned dress fit perfectly with my page, tucking it among the flowers.

A closer look at the "bricks."

Thanks so much for stopping by!  :)

Joyful

Hello everyone!

Time for another sketch challenge!
That's right... I'm hosting the monthly Sketch Challenge (SC90) at Soul Scrappers.
I hope you will stop by and check it out.

My layout is titled, "Joyful."
My niece and I at Christmas time (2014).  She's such a cutie!  :)

This was a super fun sketch to work with!

Paper: Heidi Swapp, DCWV, Twine, Border Punch, Chipboard Embellies, Stickers, Quote, Misting.
Sketch: Page Maps.

Some of the chipboard embellies!  They're SO cute!

The white cardstock was lightly misted.

The date was added on this cute tab sticker.

The quote reads:
"The most wasted of all days is one without laughter. E.E. Cummings"

Thanks so much for stopping by!   :)

Extra-Ordinary

Hi there!

Finally... It's a nice enough day to go for a walk!  I have been severely deprived of all that fresh air!!

My next layout features the amazing sky at my sister's, right outside her door.
I have never seen anything quite like it!  Always amazed me to see all those colors!

It was submitted at Soul Scrappers for their ABC Challenge (ABC5).  Be sure to stop by and check it out!  :)

"Extra-Ordinary"

Paper: Dena Designs, Gesso, Mists, Stencils, Prima Flowers, Circle Punch, Glitter letters, Ribbon, Stars, Buttons, Enamel Dots.
Sketch: Page Maps

I used Gesso with stencils in the upper right of my layout.  A variety of embellies above the title... Flower, enamel dot, button circle and star.

Gesso was brushed along the edges of the inner layer of cardstock.

All the flowers were misted.  The branch is from a bunch of flowers.  I knew I saved those for a reason!  :)
A couple stars were tucked behind the flowers also.

These three enamel dots were home made and placed in the lower right.

The cardstock behind the photo was misted with several mists.
Various stencils were also used.

The left side of my page.

A closer look at the flowers.

A light yellow ribbon goes along the upper edge of the border punch.  The flower was misted.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  :)
