Hello Weekend!!!

Hello everyone!

Happy Weekend to you all!

I was SO excited to have Friday off!  I got so much done!  Woo hoo!

And now I can enjoy the weekend!  :)

But first, I have a layout to share from the Sketch Challenge that I'm hosting at Soul Scrappers.  This is my "regular" challenge with a different sketch each month.

Simply create your layout based on the sketch below.  Easy peasy!  Then add your project in the Gallery so everyone can admire it!  :)

This is a fun sketch... originally a digital freebie layout, which can also easily be a traditional layout too.

Before we get to the sketch, this is my layout titled, "Summer Lovin'"

Yup.... this is me!  My niece surprised me by asking the lifeguard if I could get on his 4-wheeler so she could get a picture of me.  She didn't think I would do it.... but I surprised her!

It was the most beautiful day at Miami Beach!  I LOVED it!!!

The ribbon was curled and twisted into place where I wanted it.

So appropriate!  :)

Another sub title.

A cluster of flowers in the lower left of the photo, with gems in their centers.

More sub title words, a tag tucked behind the photo and a stick pin was also tucked behind the pp.

Flowers and gems curve beside the photo with the page title tucked behind them.

A closer look.

And here's a better photo of the stick pin.... my new love!

 And finally, here's the sketch.

From: Quality DigiScrap Freebies: Template freebie from Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs

This is such a fun sketch!

So... head on over to Soul Scrappers, sign up and check out the rest of my challenge and all the other great challenges too!  And I almost forgot to mention the prize I will be offering to one lucky winner!

Thanks for stopping by!

Till next time,

Photogenic

Hi there!

Here's a fun layout I completed last night for the Soul Scrappers Sketch Challenge (SC87). You can see the challenge here.

The sketch by Shazza:

And here's my layout titled "Photogenic"

My sister's cat, Bear.  He was so fun to take pics of.  My sister teased me all the time about taking more pics of their cats than anything else!  :)

Paper: American Crafts, Twine, Sizzix Swirl, Circle punch, Die cuts.

The title was added along the bottom rather than in the corner.  I kinda liked the star and camera in the lower left of the paper.

I clustered die cuts on one of the circles.

A closer look at the swirls that I tucked under the photo and banners.

Please join us in all the awesome challenges at Soul Scrappers!

Thanks for stopping by!

Memories

Hi there!

Here's one of my fave layouts (I have a LOT of favorites) for the Turtle Soup DT Sketch Reveal (May 5).

The sketch:

And my layout titled, "Memories."

Lynn and Dylan on her graduation from basic training.  We walked along the River Walk in Texas and had an awesome time!

All the pearl looking gems are home made... as well as the swirly bling.

I made the white satin rosette and added a smaller paper flower in the center.  The flowers were misted and liquid pearls were dabbed along the edges.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

It's A Good Day

Hey!

Today is a good day!  Yay!  So this card seems very appropriate! :)

The sketch:

I made this card for the Turtle Soup NSD Mini Crop Challenge:

This card could be for any occasion.

I used the stitch piercer by We R Memory Keepers.

Thanks for stopping by!  :)

Happy Birthday To You

Hello!

A few more cards to share with you!

This one was submitted at Turtle Soup for their Sunday Card Challenge (5/4).

The sketch:

The chevron cardstock was embossed and I used lots of pop dots for dimension.

Another look...

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a wonderful day!  :)

Priceless!

Hello!

Ok... so this is my last post for tonight!

This layout was another entry at Turtle Soup for their Monday (Apr 7) DT Sketch Reveal.  I really loved this sketch and had the perfect photo for it!  You can see the info here.

The sketch by Bev:

And my layout titled, "Priceless!"

I absolutely LOVE the beautiful expression on my daughter's face when she opened up one of her presents and it was what she wanted!  Totally priceless!  :)

Supplies used:

Paper: My Mind's Eye

Color Box Inks

Flowers/Leaves

Wood Embellies: Studio Calico

Decorative Trim

Glitter Letters

Gold Embellies: Jolee's

Glitter Gems: Home Made

All the paper edges were inked.  The wood embellies were also inked just enough to give them some color.

Just below the glitter letters I added the cute little camera.

In the lower left of my page is a cute golden embellie.

A closer look at the flower cluster.  The flowers were inked along the edges and in the centers of each petal.  The larger flower has a gold embellie and the other flowers have glitter gems.  The wooden heart was tucked within the flowers... and was inked with different pink inks.

The leaves were brushed with a gold ink for a different effect and some beaded branches were tucked behind them.

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope you enjoyed my layout!  :)
