Best Wishes

Hi there!

Sharing a card that was made for Sketches 4 All for Stacy's May Card Challenge.  You can see the info here.

It was hard to not use flowers and bling on this card!  But.. I really would like to have a few more "masculine" cards in my stash!

Thanks for stopping by!

Life Is Good

Hello!

Here's a layout that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for Stacy's May Stash Challenge.  You can see all the info here.

Andrew... standing beside a huge cannon.

"Black" is on the images stamped onto the twine ribbon below the photo, the stamp on the tag to the left of the photo... and there is black in the photo too.

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV
Twine/Burlap/Ribbon: The Paper Studio
Hole Punch
Layout "Lifted" by Pat (scrappinvt) Turtle Soup DT

Twine was added on each of the tags.  Most of the die cuts were cut from pp.

Twine was looped below the photo... over twine ribbon that was stamped with black images.

A closer look.  There are several layers of twine below the photo.

Thanks for stopping by!  :)

Today

Hello everyone!

I've neglected my blog for awhile!  Been busy on this roller coaster ride called life!  Ugh!
Every day something different... and something new to contend with!
All I can say is, "ENOUGH ALREADY!"

Because of all this I haven't felt much like crafting.  I'm hoping this will change soon!

Before my roller coaster ride, I did complete this layout which was used as the example for my MAY Challenge(MayLibby) at Sketches 4 All.  You can see all the info here.

The challenge I decided on this month is using wood or veneer on your project.

Here's my layout titled, "Today" based on an amazing sketch by Brenda Ragsdale:
My son, fiddling around with his new camera.  I tried to sneak up on him and take a photo... and when he saw me he aimed his camera at me instead!  So funny!

Supplies used:
Paper: gcd Studios
SU Border Punch
Distressing
Circle Punch
Wood Embellie: Studio Calico
Brads: Prima
Pop Dots
Twine
Sentiment Wood Banner: Basic Grey
Stencil
Mist

Pretty crude circle!  I must have been jamming to a favorite song while I was cutting it!  :)
Twine was wrapped around the page title and knotted.
Love these cute brads... and I was equally happy that they were all the same size!

The background was misted with a grunge chevron stencil.
Various shapes were layered in the lower right and more brads were added.

The photo was adhered with pop dots for dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  :)

Good Times

Hi!

I have another layout to share with you today.  This was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their April Sketch Challenge (aprilsketch).  You can see all the info here.

The awesome sketch:

And here's my layout titled, "Good Times"
We had an awesome time when my sister in law visited many years ago!  So many laughs and great memories!

Supplies used:
Paper: gcd Studios
Pate Title: Cut from pp
Wood Veneer Camera: Studio Calico
Flowers
Bling & Glitter Gems: Home Made
Butterfly
Glitter Ribbon
Fabric Rosette: Home Made

My cluster of flowers above the page title with a tiny veneer camera tucked within them.

Lots of swirly bling and a cute little butterfly.

More bling over the glitter ribbon.

A closer look.

Another pp was torn and tucked just under the center strip for added texture and layers.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  :)

I used all the colors from the palette... and added flowers.

Paper: Colorbok, DCWV
Cuttlebug Embossing Folders
Stencil
Various Mists
Ribbon
