Linked Together

Hey there!

Here's a fun photo of my sister and I.  Yes, you will be seeing lots of these similar photos.  We had a LOT taken... and I'm gonna scrap as many as I can!  It was just too fun!  :)

I submitted this layout at Home and Scrapped on their Facebook site.
I have always loved Heather Waldron's sketches and couldn't wait to create with this sketch!
Very fun sketch to work with!  This was taken while visiting my sister through the Holidays.  We are sporting our fave football teams with these t-shirts... Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots.

Paper: Colorbok, Other, Border Punches, Sizzix Leaf Die, Flowers: Kaisercraft & Prima, Gesso, Stencils, Misting, Ribbon, Staples, Sticker, Bling.

Here's Heather Waldron's lovely March Sketch:

Using stencils I created the hexagons with Gesso.  After that dried, I used another stencil and misted the triangles.

A closer look at these beautiful flowers!

Thought this title was very appropriate as our arms are "linked together."  :)

The stitched lines were added with a marker and the edges distressed.  Two small tags were tucked behind the photo with ribbon stapled on each end.

To create the negative hexagons.... I just flipped my stencil over and pressed it lightly onto the cardstock.  Pearl bling was tucked under the flowers.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  :)

Hello New Life

Good morning!

It may be a dreary day where I am... but with the warmer weather and some wind... the snow is gonna melt!  Oh yeah!  :)

Here's a layout that gets me really hankering for Spring!  I entered it at Soul Scrappers for their Cooking Up Creations Challenge (CUCC40).  You can see all the info here.

Planting seeds and watching the new growth!  Then I can hardly wait to plant them outside!
The photo is some of the seedlings I planted a couple years ago.
Used a variety of bright, springy pp.

From the list provided I used: Flowers, PP, Butterflies and Border Punch.

Paper: DCWV, Twine, 3D Embellies, Butterflies, Prima Flowers, Dew Drops, Gems, Stickers, Banner Punch, Border Punch.
Sketch: Page Maps

The twine was twisted and curled up to the 3D butterfly embellie.

A bow was tied on each end of the banner.

My flower cluster using gems and dew drops for their centers.

A closer look at the page title and cute little butterfly stickers.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  :)

Niagara

Hey!

Guess I had another layout to post!  :)

This was submitted at Turtle Soup for their March 2 DT Reveal Sketch Challenge.

My layout is titled, "Niagara."
What a beautiful place!  My friend and I only got to see a small portion of the falls, but they were amazing!

Paper: gcd Studios, Flowers/Bling: Prima, Home made gems, Sticker Letters, Misting, Circle Punch.

Here's the awesome sketch by Bev:

I added gems above the page title.

The flower cluster with bling.

Here's a few more photos showing a closer look at the flowers.

Project 12 February, 2015

Hello again!

Here's my 2-page layout for the Turtle Soup Project 12 for February, 2015.
You can view all the info here.

These are not really "Feb" photos... but I had so many fun photos from my visit with Andrew, that I had to use them for this super cool sketch for Feb.  :)

Paper: Paper Studio, DCWV, Perfect Pearls Mist, Wood Arrows/Hearts, Glitter Letters, Embossing Folders, Triangle Punch, Hand drawn heart and black arrows.

The left side...

The right side...

Here's the sketch:

The long arrow was embossed.

I decided on wooden elements for the upper corners.

I added a little texture by embossing these arrows too.

All the triangles behind the photos were also embossed.

Hard to tell... but I misted the large heart and corners of the pages.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  :)

Project 12 January, 2015

Hi there,

Here's my Project 12 layout for January, 2015 at Turtle Soup.
Be sure to check out all the info here.
I decided to scrap these photos of Andrew and I getting to meet in Maryland.  Love these photos!

Paper: DCWV, Stars, Border Punch, Safety Pins, Burlap, Stickers.

The left side.  I used burlap under one of the photos.  The safety pin was attached to the pp and twine knotted around it.

The right side.

Here's the sketch I had to work with.
