Celebrate Independence

Hi there!
Ahhhhhh!  T.G.I.F.

Have you checked out Archi-scraps?  They have fabulous architectural challenges with simple and fun criteria.  Challenges run for the entire month and prizes are offered to one random winner each month.  So hop on over there and check it out!!  Here's the link.

And our lovely sponsor this month is Scrapbooking Delights and they have an awesome prize!!

This is the inspirational photo for February:

And the criteria:  Color blocking

I was asked to create a layout using July 4th photos... and here's my layout titled, "Celebrate Independence."
Love these photos from this past July after my family marched in uniform in the July 4th Parade.  My heart was just bursting with pride watching them march!!!

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok
Sticker Sentiment & Heart
Swirly Bling
Die Cut Border: K&Co.
Flowers
Gems: Home Made
Sketch: page Maps (Aug 2007)

Swirly bling is "bursting" from the flowers.  I used red, white and blue gems in the flower centers.

A look at the flowers on the left of the page.  Light blue bling is just below the flowers.

Here's a better look at the right side of my page.  Love the border trim below the flowers.

Here's a closer look at the border trim.

A heart was placed in the upper right of the bottom photo.

Little Prince

Hello there!

It's been awhile since I posted.  Well, I say "awhile" because I'm used to posting every day!

I worked on a layout last night!  Woo hoo!  This was submitted at Sketches 4 All for their Once Upon A Theme - Cheer! Challenge (THEMECHEER).  You can see the challenge here.

The challenge is to scrap something that brings you cheer... and this little guy definitely brings me (us) cheer!
Our son was 7 weeks old in this photo!  Oh my goodness... those sweet little smiles melted my heart every time!!

Supplies used:
Paper: My Mind's Eye, DCWV, Other
Swirly Bling: Home Made
Clear Stickers
Fabric Rosette: Home Made
Small Rosettes
Ribbon
Chenille Rick Rack
Sketch: Page Maps (Oct 2007)

Sweet little clear stickers were added on the banner.

Clear swirly bling is behind the flowers.  The fabric rosette is home made.  The page title was cut from ribbon... easy peasy!

I added more clear bling just below the photo... but it's hard to see in this photo.

Chenille rick rack goes across the right of my page.

A closer look.  Ribbon goes across the top where the two pp's meet.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Merry & Bright

Hello,

Here's a layout that was submitted at Soul Scrappers for their Lift Challenge (LIFT9).  You can see the challenge here.

The challenge is to "lift" the layout and/or card:

Beautiful projects to lift!  I chose to "lift" the layout.  Here it is:
Our daughter and her dog, Max this past Christmas!  We couldn't resist putting the reindeer antlers on him!

Supplies used:
Paper: The Paper Studio
Flowers/Leaves
Christmas Tree Charm
Foam Swirls
Wood Holly Leaves: Kaiser Craft
Die Cuts
Glitter Zig Zag
3D Snowman
Candy Cane Stamp
Pate Title Sticker: Creative Memories
Gold Branch
Bling

Here's one of the grouping beside the photo.  The white flowers are glittery.  The gold branch is above the flowers.  Foam swirls were tucked within the flowers.  I love the wooden holly leaves!  They're so cool!

On the right side of the photo is the page title with another larger flower.  I fussy cut the stamped candy cane and tucked it behind the flower.

I couldn't resist tucking a 3D snowman embellie within the flowers.

Here's a closer look at the wooden holly leaves.

Clear gems were added randomly on my page.

Here's the tiny tree charm.  It's so cute!

A better look at the candy cane, foam swirls and clear gems.

Another wooden holly leaf was tucked in the lower corner.  A few die cuts were also added.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Adventure

Hello there,

Happy Friday!!!

I have a layout to share that was submitted at Soul Scrappers for their Around the World Challenge - Iceland (ATW14).  You can see the challenge here.

These are the inspiration photos to create your project:

Taking inspiration from the 2nd photo (boats), here is my layout titled, "Adventure."
These photos were taken at a trip to Sea World in Orlando, FL.  We had so much fun here!!

From the SECOND photo (the boats), I was inspired by the colors... blues and browns.

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV
Gems: Home Made
Cardstock Swirls
Flowers
Tickets
3D Embellies: K&Co.
Sketch: Page Maps (June 2012)

Tickets were added along the left of the photos and a cute polka dots flower above them.

A closer look.

The 3D embellie was layered even more with a metal frame word.

This 3D embellie was so cool!  All I had to do was write in all the information... no journaling needed (unless you really want to, of course).  The cardstock swirls were tucked behind the flower.

Below the tickets I added three blue gems.

A metal embellie was tucked beside the 3D page title embellie.

The arrow is pointing to the Mime and I after the show.  Such a fun show!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
