Song/Lyric Challenge at Soul Scrappers

Hello!

Here's another fun challenge at Soul Scrappers.

Simply choose words, phrases, or the whole lyrics to create your layout.  It's that easy!

Then upload your creation to the Gallery for a chance to win a prize.

Hop on over to Soul Scrappers to see the lyrics to the song and see what words you can choose to create your masterpiece!

The name of the song is: "You've Got a Friend" by James Taylor.

I chose the word "FALL" and created this layout titled, "I Love Fall"

This is Randy and Andrew sitting on the edge of a mountain we hiked up to see this beautiful view!  It was a bit chilly... but the views were breathtaking!

This page title says it all...

A couple tiny banners were added above and below the photo.  And words from the pp were cut out and added beside the photo.

A few pp and "Hello Fall" (cut from pp) were added in the upper right corner.

Sketch Challenge at Soul Scrappers

The sketch I've chosen for January is from:

The Nifty Pixel Page Drafts, Template #31.1

Thought this was a very fun sketch to work with, giving you the opportunity to use a variety of embellies and just have fun creating!

This is the layout I created titled, "Shine"

We had a beautiful fall vacation in North Carolina visiting new friends!

I had a blast adding all sorts of embellies from my stash.

A closer look shows you the different flowers and flourishes.  The page title was added over the embellies.

What caught my eye on this sketch was the single strip of separation or space.  This made it just that much more interesting to work with.  I would've never thought to do this on my page.

A beaded flower embellie was tucked among the other embellies.

Various flourishes were tucked over and under the banners.

Lots of embellies above the photo too.

Here's a look at the lower corner of my layout.

Flourishes on top of flourishes added lots of dimension, with sequins scattered among them.

Instead of journaling on the paper strips, I used pp which had phrases on them already.

I hope you enjoyed viewing my layout!

Valentine's Day Cards

Hello everyone!

Yes, you read that right... I've been making Valentine's cards!  It's never too early to plan ahead!

It's a "crafting" New Year's Day!  :)

And, it's Sunday Night Football... so I'm watching my Green Bay Packers game as I'm uploading.  So my attention is more on the game right now.  (Not responsible for any errors)
