Jingle Bells Christmas Card

Hello,

I have a card to share with you today that was submitted at Colorful Creations for the "Jingle All The Way" Blog Hop.  You can see all the information about the Blog Hop here.

Over at Anne's Blog, she has a Say It With Words Challenge - to use the word "JINGLE" on your project.

I decided to make a card:
I love how this card turned out!  The green cardstock was embossed and the sentiment was adhered with pop dots.  The large snowflake is glitter foam with a couple silver flowers added over that.

As you can clearly see... I added the word, "JINGLE" on my card!  :)

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV, White Cardstock
Foam Glitter Snowflake
Flowers
Glitter Gem: Home Made
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Ribbon
3D Sentiment

Here's a different angle... so you can see the dimension as well as the glitter on the snowflake.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I hope you're enjoying the Blog Hop... and if you're not hopping along with us... please do!  It's lots of fun... with inspiration and prizes too!

Ornaments

Hello,

I made a couple of ornaments for Colorful Creations for their Anything Goes - Something Small Challenge (AGDEC13).  You can see the challenge here.

Here's my two "small" ornaments:
These are so easy to make.  Just punch a bunch of circles, fold the edges in to make a triangle in the center and adhere the top ones, then the bottom ones and put it all together.  Various brads and beads were added at the top and gold cording threaded through them to hang them with.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Christmas Pillow Box

Hi there,

Welcome to my New Blog "Jeans and Slippers Creations!"  Hopefully it's "improved" too!

For now I'm working from both Blogs... and will eventually be only on this blog when everything gets organized.

Today I have a pillow box to share that I created for Colorful Creations for the Song Challenge (decsong15) that I'm hosting for December.  You can see my challenge here.

The song I chose this month is a Christmas song by the Backstreet Boys titled, "Christmas Time."

Here are the lyrics:
There is something special
About this time of year
The Christmas feeling's everywhere
I just got home
To Join You
I've been away too long
But now I'm back to share my love
Friends are reunited
One big family
Filled with love to last
Throughout the year

Chorus:
Christmas time
Time to share our love
Come and joy
The tiding's to the world
Christmas time
The best time of the year
Yes, it's Christmas time

You and me together
A Sleigh ride in the park
A loving kiss straight from my heart
Straight from the heart
Snowflakes are falling gently
The smell of chestnuts in the air
And Christmas lights they gleam
Across the sky

Chorus

Do you remember?
Everything felt so right
When I held you close to me
Do you remember?
Those cold Christmas Nights
When we sewed the world in harmony

Christmas time
Time to share our love
Come and joy
The tiding's to the world
Christmas time
Always the best time

My challenge is to use word(s) from the lyrics to create the project of your choice.  The only catch... it must be a Christmas Theme.

Here's the Christmas Pillow Box that I made as an example, using the word, "Christmas" from the lyrics.
Super fun to make!  I'm really enjoying making a variety of shaped projects!

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV
Glitter Foam Snowflake
Ribbon
Clear Sentiment
Vinyl Candy Cane

Here's a look at the Pillow Box from the side.

I hope my project inspires you to create some fun items for Christmas too!
