Mixed Media Tag

Hi there,

I have what I call a mixed media tag to share with you today that was entered at Turtle Soup for their Saturday All Sorts (3/1) Challenge.  You can see the challenge here.

The sketch:
Image

I used a variety of paints, misting and Gesso.  Here's my "Special" tag:
The background was created using various paints that were misted with water and the cardstock was pressed into the paints.
I used mists on the background also... which doesn't really show well... because I ended up covering it with flowers and ribbon!

Here's a couple pics with a closer look:
Gesso was used on all the embellies and brushed along the edges of the tag.  While the Gesso was still wet I misted everything.

Supplies used:
Paper: Cardstock
Walnut Ink Mist
Gesso
Stencils
Ribbon
Rick Rack
Various Paints
Flowers
Bling: Home Made
SU Border Punch

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Gift Bag & Card

Hello!

I usually don't make "sets" of anything... but this project looked so fun!  And... I have never really "decorated" a paper bag to look like a gift bag.

Head on over to Turtle Soup to see all the fun challenges during their March Mini Crop.  You can see the challenges here.

This challenge is to make a gift bag and card.  Although I didn't make the bag example that was shown... this is what I created.  You can see this challenge here.

Here's the card sketch:

I have never really "decorated" by own brown paper bag... so I thought I would give it a try.  I'm happy with how it turned out.

I used a border punch across the top of the bag and punched holes to tie the ribbon through.  Fun card sketch too!

Supplies used:
Paper: Colorbok, gcd Studios
3D Embellies
Ribbon
Clear Sticker
EK Success Border Punch
Hole Punch

I hope you liked my gift set.  Thanks for stopping by!

Adventure

Hello,

I have a layout to share with you today that was entered at Soul Scrappers for their Lift Challenge (LIFT11).  You can see this fun challenge here.  You have until April 11 to play along.

The layout to lift which was created by Natalie May and appeared in the Australian Scrapbook Magazine Issue 25:

Such a gorgeous layout and spectacular photo too!  I couldn't resist lifting it!

This is my creation:
Love this selfie of Andrew!  He looks so relaxed... and serious at the same time!

Supplies used:
Paper: The Paper Studio
Half Circle Sticker: Creative Memories
Cork board Shapes
Leaves/Branch
Chipboard Square: K&Co.
Various Stickers
Page Title: K&Co.
Arrow Sticker: Daisy d's
Other Chipboard Shape

Sorry for the glare!  I took these photos in not so grand lighting!
Above the photo is a cluster of die cuts with an arrow just below them.

The page title sticker was matted on pp.

This was a fun cluster to put together.  I started with the leaves and "branches" then added the other embellies.  Thought the branches fit the photo perfectly.

The quote below the photo reads, "The world knows little about its greatest heroes." -Dan Zadra
