The Cutest Easter Baskets!!

Hi!

Oh man, did I have fun making these Easter baskets!!  So easy and fun to decorate!

I made these for a challenge at Turtle Soup... for their April 1st Challenge.  You can see all the info on how to make these here.

Here they are!
I made one 9x9 basket and the other two are 6x6.  So cute!!!
If you haven't made these before... you need to give it a try!  You'll be glad you did!

I used Authentique double sided paper... so the inside of the baskets are decorative too!
Then I got to work adding embellies.  The sky's the limit... add whatever you want on them... then have fun putting candies and tiny gifts in them!

Here's another look.

I hope you enjoyed these cute little Easter baskets.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi there!

I have another Easter card to share with you today that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for the Guest Designer Spotlight Challenge (GDCAPR).  You can see all the info here.

The 4 items from the list I chose are:
1. Die cuts

4. Patterned paper as the background

This is my card:
So fun making this card.  All the die cuts and stamps were in my stash (hiding)... and I found them!  Some color was added to the stamped Easter eggs using watercolor pencils.

Supplies used:
Paper: gcd Studios, Colorbok
Chick Die Cut
Stamped Easter Eggs
Watercolor Pencils
Chenille Rick Rack
Pearls
Sentiment
Ink

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Easter Card

Hello!

I have a cute Easter card to share that was submitted at Sketches 4 All for Cheryl's Holiday Challenge - Spring or Easter Card.  You can see all the info here.

Here's my card:
The background pp was embossed and various stickers and 3D embellies were added.  The cream ribbon is a burlap kind of stuff... really cool!

A closer look.

Spoiled

Hello!

The day started off good... but then stress got the better of me... and now I'm plagued with a bad headache that just won't go away!  Ugh!
I guess the lesson learned... try not to get so stressed!

Thank goodness I completed this layout BEFORE all the stress hit me!

This layout was submitted at Soul Scrappers for their Negative Space Sketch Challenge (NSC34).  You can see the challenge here.

The awesome sketch:

And here's what I created:
The challenge is to not only use the sketch... but celebrate a little thing that helps make your day just a little bit better.
Well... this sweet, spoiled dog makes my day just a little bit better!  She never fails to make me laugh!  So... it seems fitting to create this layout especially about my dog, Zoe!

Supplies used:
Paper: gcd Studios
Ribbon
Twine
Flowers/Leaves
Sticker Page Title
Button
Maker

In the upper corner I added a tiny banner and bow.

I created this flower by first having one large flower... then I folded four separate flowers twice each and adhered them in the center of the large flower to create this cute flower!

Rather than add my journaling above the photo... I added it beside the photo... because the paper wasn't so dark here.

A closer look at the flower.  I looped ribbon and twine under the flower.  A large pearl button is in the flower center.

I hope you enjoyed my layout!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Family Matters

Hello!

As the sun is shining and the snow is melting... I'm inside... but I am enjoying the lovely sunshine!!  I can't wait until it's warm enough to sit outside!!

I have a fabulous "green" layout to share with you today.
I know... It isn't St. Patrick's Day!

But it's a "green" layout inspired by this fun inspirational photo at Archi scraps for April!
I hope you will stop by and check it out.  You have ALL month to link up your layout.  You can see the challenge here.

Here's the Inspiration Photo:
And the criteria:  Triangles!

Our sponsor this month is SCRAPPERS GARDEN.  Be sure to stop by and check out all the gorgeous flowers that Linda makes!!  Lots of yumminess!

The prize for April:
See!  I told you it was yummy!!!  :)

And now for the layout I created titled, "Family Matters."
This is my daughter and I chatting on the phone with Andrew.  It made Thanksgiving Day a little better by being able to chat together on the phone!  :)

Supplies used:
Paper: DCWV
String
Sticker Sentiments
EK Success Border Punch
SU Border Punch
Flowers
Large Crochet Circle: Webster's Pages
Smaller Crochet Flower: Kaiser Craft
Pop Dots
Paper Doilies
Bling: Home Made
Sketch: Page Maps (July 2013)

Triangles!!

A punched border was tucked behind the center strip of pp and a sticker added in the lower corner.

Another punched border was added at the very top of my page.  The crochet circle was placed over the doily and tucked behind the photo.

Here's a look at the triangles... with smaller ones adhered with pop dots for dimension.

The page title was tucked behind the flowers at the far right of my page.  Lots of bling is shooting from behind the row of flowers.  A tiny crochet flower was also tucked within the flowers.

The green flowers were actually single flowers... and too flat for my page... so I folded one of the flowers a couple of times and tucked the corner in the hole of the flat flower... and now I have a "full" flower!  Woo hoo!  :)

The banner below the photo.  And another doily was tucked behind the center pp strip.

Here's a closer look at the beautiful crochet circle!  Isn't it gorgeous!  I love it!

A closer look at the flowers and tiny crochet flower too!

Another look at the dimensional triangles!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
And don't forget to stop in at Archi scraps and check out the challenge for yourself!  :)

Supplies used:
Paper: gcd Studios
Chipboard Title
3D Embellies
Various Glitter Die Cuts
Martha Stewart Border Punch
Lace
Ribbon

A thin ribbon was added over the chipboard page title.

A cluster of stickers that I found in my stash...way down deep in the abyss!  :)

Absolutely LOVE this cute little 3D cat sticker!  Isn't she cute?

In the lower left corner I added a little mouse!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Easter Projects Challenge at Sketches 4 All

Hi there!

Oh man... It FINALLY feels like Spring is around the corner!  I'm so excited to see the snow melting!!!

Of course, with Spring close (it isn't here yet... there are too many snowbanks almost as high houses), I think of flowers, Easter, pastel colors, Easter eggs... and lots of fun!

Also... I get to plant my veggie seeds... in anticipation of being able to plant them in my garden in a couple of months.

Ok.. enough jibber-jabber!

I have some Easter projects to share that I used as example projects for my challenge over at Sketches 4 All.  I hope you will stop by and check out all the fun going on there!  There's a variety of challenges... and I'm sure one or two... or maybe even more of them, will inspire you to play along too!  :)

You can see MY challenge here.
And... you can see the list of challenges here.  (Please note that all the challenges for April have not been posted yet... but they will be soon!)  So be sure to check back!
All the DT hosting the challenges offer prizes at the end of the month too!

Here's my egg-shaped Easter card:
Isn't this the cutest?  I found the egg template online and knew it would be so fun to make!
I used double sided pp, embossed the center pp and added rick rack to cover the edges.  Then I finished it off with flowers and some greenery... as well as the sentiment sticker.  Easy peasy!

Here's a side view so you can see the dimension from the flowers and stems.

And now for my cute Easter gift bag:
I also used double sided pp for this... so the inside is a pretty color too!
This is such a simple project to make.  It doesn't get any easier than adhering the edges and decorating!

Various stickers and 3D egg embellies were added and ribbon keeps the handles together.

I hope you will stop by Sketches 4 All  and have a look around!
See you there!

You have until April 30 to play along not only for this challenge... but for ALL of the challenges!  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
